The UKGC has approved the distribution of BetConstruct’s Crash and Farkle games in “another major step” for the company.

Independent testing agency eCOGRA has unveiled an expansion of its services, after securing an extension of its online gambling testing and certification capabilities within Latin American markets.

Firstly Colombia’s online gambling regulator, Coljuegos, has approved eCOGRA as an independent testing laboratory, before the Buenos Aires Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos gave the green-light to test and certify online platforms and games for its market.

Approvals have been received following close liaisons between eCOGRA and the licensing authorities, with a stringent review of its systems and professional capabilities undertaken by Coljuegos and the IPLyC.

Founded in 2003 to establish and improve operational standards and player safety requirements in the online gambling space, eCOGRA clients include a number of software suppliers and operators such as bet365, 888, GVC, BetVictor, Kindred, Danske Spil, 32Red, Betway, Casino Rewards Group, Paf, SBTech, Scientific Games, NetEnt, Microgaming, Relax Gaming, Quickspin, Betsson and High 5 Games.

Shaun McCallaghan, eCOGRA chief executive, commented: “Latin America is increasingly becoming an important strategic market to our clients as more countries in this region move to regulate and European markets start to mature.

“eCOGRA currently employs almost 100 highly qualified and fully trained employees who are focused on the online gambling compliance requirements of its clients.

“We continue to seek accreditation in licensing jurisdictions that are important to our clients, to ensure that they are properly reviewed and appropriately certified in their target markets.”

Last week online gaming operator Kindred Group has received ISO 27001 certification for information security management by eCOGRA.

Through meeting a number of “extensive criteria” to be awarded the standard, it is said that Kindred proved its commitment to protecting sensitive information, critical assets and consistently delivering a high-level of service for customers and employees.

The ISO 27001 standard is a process-based approach established and updated by the International Organisation for Standardisation, the developer of international standards.
