Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort has become the first venue in Arkansas to offer sports wagering with the opening on Monday this week of its newly remodeled Race & Sports Book located in the north end of the casino.

The Race & Sports Book offers teller wagering from 10 am until 10 pm daily as well as six fast, user-friendly kiosks which operate throughout the casino’s opening hours, seven days a week.

Fans can now place bets on their favorite teams and games across an array of sports ranging from NFL to NCAA to more international sports such as cricket and rugby. There are also exciting features including in-game wagering, numerous proposition bets, parlays and future wagering all season long.

General Manager Wayne Smith, who placed the state’s first legal bet on the Dallas Cowboys to beat the New York Giants in the National Football League season opener on September 8 said: “We’re excited to now be offering sports wagering. It’s a new level of entertainment for our guests.”

Arkansas becomes the latest, and ninth, state to take the legal route to offering sports wagering.
