Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment will have to wait for another week before it can engage the renewal process on the slot license for its Parx Casino in Bucks County. Poor weather conditions have been cited as the reason for postponing a renewal hearing with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

In confirming the news, a board statement read: “The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced that potential poor weather has necessitated a postponement of tomorrow’s public hearing on the renewal of the Category 1 Slot Machine Operator’s license for Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment Inc, operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County, to the following week on February 28.”

The start time of the rescheduled hearing will remain at 10 am in Council Chambers at the Bensalem Township Municipal Building, 2400 Byberry Road in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Additionally, the Board announced that deadlines to sign up to present oral comment at the hearing or to provide written comment prior to the hearing will be extended until Wednesday February 27 at noon.

Information on the hearing, including a link to submit a request to speak, is on the Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, under its Quick Links section of the home page.
