COVID-19 makes King’s Resort introduce additional safety measures

King’s Resort has introduced additional safety measures in an attempt to monitor and mitigate the risk of the recent outbreak of COVID-19 outbreak, after 21 new cases were identified in the Czech Republic yesterday afternoon.

The news was confirmed on the resort’s official Facebook page which assured the public that it’s ‘taking action’ to ‘minimise the risks’ to its visitors and employees.

Commenting on the actions being taken, the statement from King’s Resort said: “Firstly, everyone entering the casino will undergo temperature checks.

“Secondly, to decrease contact between players there will be extra space between playing tables and each table will have maximum eight players.

“Thirdly, each tournament will be played at a specific area of the casino, which will be thoroughly disinfected before another tournament.

“Lastly, each tournament schedule has been changed as some tournaments have been cancelled. The 15 WSOP Circuit Ring Events remain unchanged.”

This latest announcement comes after King’s Resort banned all players who have come from Italy ‘to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection’.

The policy which was introduced last week, was also announced via the resort’s official Facebook page. It came in light of the first coronavirus case to be registered in the Czech Republic’s capital, Prague.

The resort is ‘following the situation and its developments’ as they state ‘our top priority is our visitors’ health’.
