Supporters of Sacramento Kings will have the opportunity to try out a taste of sports betting style action for free on March 17 at their home game against the Chicago Bulls. The Kings will allow a number of basketball fans seated in certain sections of the stadium access to its Sacramento Kings Skyloft Predictive Gaming Lounge where they will be able to place free ‘predictions’ on the outcome of the game.

Using a set number of free credits they can wager on most points during a game period, the win margin and player statistics. Kings have secured the services of Swish Analytics which will run its BetRush live bet simulation engine to enable fans to place wagers.

Kings’ owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé said in a statement: “Predictive gaming is incredibly disruptive and will only continue to gain popularity in the NBA and beyond. Working with industry leaders like Swish Analytics allows us to test and perfect this technology to give fans the best experience in future seasons.”

While the prospect of legal sports betting appears somewhat distant at present, Sacramento Kings is clearly looking to get ahead of the game by engaging fans with its free predictions offer.
