NASCAR signs on with AGA’s ‘Have a Game Plan, Bet Responsibly’ campaign

NASCAR has become the first professional sports league to partner with the American Gaming Association’s ‘Have a Game Plan, Bet Responsibly’ sports betting ad campaign, launched as an extension of the industry’s ongoing commitment to responsibility.

Coinciding with the ongoing Responsible Gaming Education Week, the partnership will see NASCAR develop co-branded content that encourages new and seasoned sports bettors to ‘Know When To Pit’ and bet responsibly.

Distribution will be witnessed across NASCAR’s social platforms, as well as via public service announcements on national radio, with responsible gaming content to also be produced for the ‘betcenter’ section of the league’s website.

This aims to provide fans with stats, odds, and information designed to empower them to make informed decisions in the fantasy and gaming space.

“Legal sports betting allows fans to engage with their favourite drivers and race teams in new, exciting ways, stated Casey Clark, senior vice president of strategic communications at the AGA.

“It is critically important to ensure they are informed about how to do so responsibly. This partnership further demonstrates NASCAR’s leadership among professional sports on responsible gaming.”

During the course of the last year NASCAR has secured a number of betting and gaming partnership, with Penn National Gaming and BetMGM named authorised gaming operators, Sportradar signed on as integrity partner, BetGenius as its data provider, IMG Arena as international streaming partner and link-ups also secured with EquiLottery and LEAP in the lottery and virtual gaming spaces, respectively.

“Ensuring that our fans have the resources to bet responsibly is a founding principle of our gaming strategy,” said Scott Warfield, managing director of gaming at NASCAR. “The AGA uniquely understands the convergence of legal betting, sports, and responsible gaming.

“As sports bettors increasingly engage with NASCAR, we look forward to working together to promote bettor education and resources that help prepare our fans for the rapidly expanding legal sports betting landscape.”
