Specialized payments platform Paysafe has announced a partnership with Betfred USA Sports in which its Skrill digital wallet will be added to the sportsbook’s payment methods.
The digital wallet has been integrated into Betfred USA Sports’ recently launched mobile and online sportsbook for the Iowa market.
As a result of the partnership Betfred USA Sports’ customers in the state will look to benefit from the ‘speed, security and reliability of a mobile-responsive digital wallet’. Moreover, Skrill’s experience with sportsbooks, including Betfred Group’s European brands since 2006, also sees the firm expect a ‘strong wagering experience’.

Skrill’s partnership with Betfred USA Sports is the latest deal in the firm’s US expansion following the launch of the Skrill Visa Prepaid Card In January. Digital wallets have also come into prominence this year, with over a third of Americans (36%) using the method at least monthly in Q2, according to Paysafe’s research.
After uploading funds to their Skrill account, players will be able to use the digital wallet to make a deposit on betfredsports.com’s Iowa-facing online platform. Additionally, they can then wager on a comprehensive range of sports, spanning pro and college football, basketball, American and a variety of overseas leagues and sports.
Winnings can also be withdrawn directly into players’ Skrill accounts and once deposited, funds can be transferred in real time to customers’ bank accounts or withdrawn directly as cash at an ATM via the Skrill Visa Prepaid Card.
