THE NETWORKER’S GUIDE TO CASINOBEATS SUMMIT The CasinoBeats Summit platform provides some really powerful functionality to allow you to find and connect with people – if you know how to use it. So here is a little guide to turn you into a Networking Ninja!
FINDING PEOPLE You can find other attendees of the event by clicking the ATTENDEES button in the right side navigation menu. Here you can scroll through attendees to find who you wish to talk to. Then simply find and click the attendee you wish to get in contact with.
From here you can add them to your favorites to follow-up later, you can start a chat with them or see more details of their profile. Viewing their profile will provide you with further options to connect, through their social media profiles or sending them an email – if they have decided to make that option available.
CONTACTING PEOPLE Chat function The platform makes it very simple and easy to contact and chat with other attendees. Simply click the MESSAGES button in the right hand side navigation. Here you can see and revisit previous chats you might have had or start a new one, by clicking CHAT WITH AN ATTENDEE. You can now see and search a list of the attendees and you can mark 1 person for a private conversation or several people for a group chat and then click START CONVERSATION. You also have the option to start a chat directly with a representative of one of the exhibiting companies from here - by instead clicking CHAT WITH A COMPANY and then click the little conversation icon next to one of the listed companies.
Status Symbol The green circle next to an attendee’s profile means that they are currently online and available on the event platform. When the circle has a different colour a person is not contactable, this is either because they are “away” (yellow), do not want to be disturbed (red), or because they are logged off (grey).
All your active chats are visible in the messages window. This lets you have more chats going at the same time and pick up on answers when you get them. This window minimizes by clicking back on the messages icon.
CONTACTING EXHIBITORS You can also find and contact exhibitors via the right hand menu, in addition to going through the Exhibition Lobby. From here you can add them to your favorites for later use, contact a representative of the exhibitor via chat or, book a meeting or go directly to their virtual booth.
THE NETWORKING LOUNGE The Networking Lounge provides an excellent opportunity to join networking sessions, round tables and workshops – where it’s possible to take part in the conversations and establish direct connections with like-minded attendees.
Networking Roundtables You can connect with like-minded people in themed networking roundtables focusing on selected markets and verticals. Sessions will invite you to join in on the discussion and will feature senior-level industry experts to help direct and facilitate the conversations. These sessions are scheduled at specific times and are listed on the Agenda. To access these, just click the Agenda link in the Lobby or inside the Networking Lounge.
GENERAL NETWORKING TIPS Set up meetings in advance As with all industry events, it is important to contact your partners and potential clients to set up meetings in advance. If your company has a product display booth in the Virtual Exhibition at the event, it provides an excellent place to meet, if not the Networking Lounge will serve as an excellent alternative and will have the same options to set up 1-to-1 chats and conversations.
FILL IN YOUR PROFILE To make sure that relevant potential clients and partners can identify and contact you, make sure that you fill in the information on your profile. To do this, simply hover your cursor over under “My Profile” the cogwheel symbol
This will let you update the info other attendees can see on your Profile Card, which functions as your virtual business card and helps you make the right contacts and connections during the event.
