Former Benfica and Portuguese international footballer Nuno Gomes has become BetConstruct and FeedConstruct’s latest brand ambassador.

As part of the role, Gomes will assist FeedConstruct in promotional activities featuring the firm’s products and data. Moreover, the signing of ‘one of the most recognisable footballing figures with outstanding expertise’ is expected to boost both company’s reputation whilst broadening its footballing appeal.

Gomes stated: “It is a pleasure for me to join the BetConstruct family, hopefully for many years. Thank you for your trust. Hope to see you all soon.”

The player, who competed in two World Cups and three European Championships, including scoring the winner against England at Euro 2000, joins an ambassador team that already includes Andriy Shevchenko and Youri Djorkaeff.

Gomes was welcomed into the BetConstruct fold through the Champions Call, an online talk show event for brand supporters which was organised by the firm back in May.

Vigen Badalyan, BetConstruct’s Founder and CEO, said: “We gladly welcome legendary Nuno Gomes as our brand ambassador and expect to ace new sporting horizons with his knowledge and expertise on football.”

Gomes’ professional career spanned just under two decades with the forward playing for Boavista, Fiorentina, Braga and Benfica twice before finishing his career at Blackburn Rovers. In total, the player amassed 79 appearances for Portugal, scoring 29 times.

Insider Insight: The online gaming solutions provider and its sister company has continued its growth over the last 12 months, building on strong links with Arsenal as the club’s official gaming software partner. The partnership with Nuno Gomes, a recognisable name around Europe, will undoubtedly raise the company’s profile alongside its existing list of well known ambassadors.
