Major League Baseball (MLB) has expanded its nationwide sponsorship network following an agreement with LoanDepot, a Californian financial services firm.

Under the terms of the five-year deal, LoanDepot will become the ‘Official Mortgage Provider of the MLB’ and will be able to take advantage of advertising exposure on national baseball broadcast networks such as Fox, Turner and EPSN, as well as on the league’s own media outlets MLB.com and MLB Network.

“We look forward to LoanDepot bringing their creativity to the Major League Baseball family reaching our fans with their story, products, and services and special promotions,” remarked Noah Garden, Chief Revenue Officer at MLB.

“LoanDepot’s customer-centric focus embodies the type of company and brand we strike to work with.”

Although the financial terms of the agreement have not been outlined, it has been confirmed that the duo will also cooperate on a number of community-driven initiatives throughout the course of the partnership.

“Partnering with the nation’s preeminent league, a league which holds a special place in the hearts of American families as our national pastime, is a natural fit for us,” added LoanDepot Chief Executive and founder Anthony Hsieh.

The 2021 MLB season is set to begin on 1 April, and will conclude 3 October. The current defending champions are the Los Angeles Dodgers, having secured its seventh national championship last year.
