Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has announced the appointment of former Montana Lottery Director Angela Wong as its new Director of Lottery Solutions.

GLI noted that Wong’s appointment further expands its roster of subject matter experts for its team of professionals that serve lotteries, regulatory agencies, and related equipment vendors and services providers globally.

In her leadership role, she will serve as an essential resource for the firm’s lottery clients and work with lottery suppliers and technology vendors to facilitate end-to-end success in the industry.

Moreover, she will identify technical and business challenges facing lotteries and develop a strategy for engagement and serving of lottery-related needs in every region of the world.

Wong said on her appointment: “I’m thrilled to join the prestigious GLI team and for the opportunity to contribute my experience and knowledge to the success of its clients during this exciting and dynamic time in the lottery industry.”

Before joining GLI, Wong was Director of the Montana Lottery, where she earned an international reputation for her leadership and innovative approach. She is also a former President of the North American States and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL), where she held multiple leadership positions over 10 years, and a former Vice President of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL).

GLI commented that her skills will allow her to quickly engage in the firm’s work to help its lottery clients navigate the changing landscape and leverage new opportunities created by emerging technology and new delivery channels.

Wong will work alongside Senior Vice President of Government Relations and General Counsel Kevin Mullally and will join the eight other team members with senior lottery or regulatory leadership experience with a government agency.

Mullally stated: “This is an exciting time for the global lottery industry and many jurisdictions are undergoing a transformation that will define them for decades. Angela’s knowledge of the lottery industry and her global network of industry stakeholders will be an invaluable element in GLI’s continuing work to help our clients succeed.”

Back in April, GLI expanded its customer service teams with a combination of promotions and new appointments.
