The Indiana Pacers have named PointsBet as the NBA side’s official sports gaming partner after signing a multi-year agreement with the sportsbook operator.

As a result of the partnership, the Pacers will provide Pointsbet with branding opportunities across the out-of-bounds space between the baseline and the team bench. The agreement represents a major achievement for PointsBet as the firm becomes the first sportsbook to occupy the space.

Rick Fuson, Pacers Sports & Entertainment president and COO stated: “This corporate partnership with PointsBet represents a real win for both companies. We look forward to welcoming them in as a very visible brand at the Fieldhouse and through our various channels.”

Johnny Aitken, PointsBet USA CEO added: “PointsBet was thrilled to unveil the fastest sports betting app in Indiana earlier this year, powered by our best-in-market proprietary technology, premium brand mentality, and clear points of difference via our product features that bettors can’t get elsewhere.

“Indiana represents a massive opportunity for PointsBet, and we will take a heavily localised approach to ensure we are delivering the best overall customer experience Indiana sports fans and bettors are seeking. We are very excited to bolster our presence within the Hoosier State and surrounding areas, as well as to Indiana Pacers fans around the globe via this unique partnership, working collaboratively with a first-class organisation to enhance the NBA fan experience and excitement created within the venue or watching at home.”

PointsBet has also received additional branding opportunities with signage being prominently displayed throughout Indiana Pacers’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse, including on phone charging stations and along the scorer’s table. The sportsbook will also be present  across all Pacers digital platforms.

Insider Insight: The partnership highlights PointBet’s growing relationship with basketball after securing a partnership with the NBA earlier this year. Moreover the deal will continue the trend of seeing betting and US sports starting to collaborate more and develop relationships between both sectors.
