Parma Calcio 1913 has expanded and extended its partnership with PharmaNutra brand Cetilar, which will see the Serie A side continue to present the firm on the front of its shirt next season.

Additionally, Cetilar will also be featured on Parma’s training wear while also gaining branding rights to the club’s training centre. According to the announcement by both entities, the decision to extend the current deal is due to ‘the shared desire to pursue new goals together’ along with ‘remarkable accomplishments’.

Pietro Pizzarotti, President of Parma Calcio 1913 stated: “PharmaNutra and Cetilar will be at our side next season, too and I assure you that this is not something that we take for granted, on the contrary. This should be taken as a strong message, one that is testament to our shared values, identity, and objectives. It’s a complicated situation for everyone in the world, not just for people in Italy, and it’s vital that we all work as a team.

“That’s why we’re more chuffed than ever with our relationship with Cetilar as we gear up for next season. We’ve always been on the same wavelength, and we can’t wait to carry on our journey together. We’re hoping that we can continue to achieve great things together.”

Parma has had a storied history in Italian football, most recently being declared bankrupt in 2015 meaning that the club had to reform in Serie D (the fourth tier of Italian football). However, after three straight promotions, the club was back in the Serie A in 2018 and has been a staple of the league since.

Carlo Volpi, Managing Director of PharmaNutra, during the press conference added: “Our congratulations go out to the players and to the club for a great season, and we’re really happy to be collaborating with Parma Calcio next year in Serie A as well: it’s a decision that we made during the lockdown, because we are keen to strengthen our relationship with the club further, because as we have seen time and time again, this relationship goes far beyond a mere sponsorship deal.”

Insider Insight: A lot of clubs have suffered serious financial hardships due to the effect of COVID-19. However, team’s which have shown loyalty and commercial success to sponsors are seemingly being repaid for their dedication through various sponsorship renewals such as Parma and Cetilar’s extension.
