Justin Stempeck, formerly a state gaming regulator and most recently Director of Licensing for DraftKings, has joined licensing firm Compliable in the role of Chief Strategy Officer.

Stempeck brings a wealth of experience to the company, which recently secured funding to continue to develop a platform that helps US sportsbooks readily prepare applications and secure employee licenses across the country.

An experienced regulatory attorney with a demonstrated history of working with both land-based and online gaming operators, suppliers and vendors, Stempeck has an extensive professional background in administrative law, litigation, contracts and government affairs.

As the first Director of Licensing at DraftKings, he drove the licensing process across all products including sportsbook, online casino and daily fantasy sports, both domestically and internationally.

Prior to that he held the role of Associate General Counsel at the Massachusetts Gaming Commission where he developed policy initiatives and provided guidance for varied legal issues.

Chris Oltyan, CEO of Compliable, said: “We are delighted to have Justin join us as he brings extensive gaming experience to our senior leadership team. His knowledge of the regulatory landscape will enhance our ability to navigate the complicated web of US gaming compliance.”

Stempeck added: “Compliable is at such an impressive stage in their already fast-paced business growth. I am very excited to become Chief Strategy Officer for a company that has found a solution to such a significant proportion of employee licensing challenges faced by all operators and vendors.

“This is a corner of the industry that is becoming ever more crucial to operator and vendor success and I can’t wait to help propel the process forward.”
