Spearhead Studios has lauded the signing of a “landmark deal” which will see Nolimit City licence its xWays and xNudge mechanics to EveryMatrix’s games development company.
The partnership will see Nolimit’s IP represented on a new igaming title to be published by Spearhead Studios that is currently slated for release in October of this year. Both parties state that the game aims to “showcase both mechanics combined in one action packed slot game”.
xWays is a random reel modifier that allows any given spin to produce a different number of mystery symbols across the reels. xNudge is a wild symbol where the win multiplier increases by win for every step the wild nudges.
Malcolm Mizzi, commercial director at Nolimit City, stated: “We’re over the moon with this announcement. This partnership has solidified the impact that our inhouse trademarked mechanics have in the industry and we’re immensely proud of the achievement.
“Having an ambitious upcoming studio like Spearhead represent our xNudge and xWays mechanics, breathes room for more innovation and unique twists on the two combined! We’re eager to witness what others have in store for them.”
Currently, Spearhead Studios’ games are certified in Malta, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Colombia, and Romania, with the studio asserting that other jurisdictions are to follow. Spearhead gained entry to the latter last week, asserting a vision of developing local games for local markets.

Spearhead Studios’s portfolio currently boasts 20 titles, both slots and table games, developed since the company launched in November 2019.
